At-Tamimi Admissions Team is always available to assist you with any questions you may have about our school, its facilities and the admissions process. Some of the most frequently asked questions are answered here.

What is the history of School?

At-Tamimi International School was established in 2007.

What is the qualifications of your teachers?

We recruit teachers with exceptional professional qualifications with relevant experience. All MYP teachers must be trained in order to be IGCSE certified teachers of our Early Years section must hold a Diploma of Early Childhood Education (usually two years).

Do you employee foreign teachers?

Yes, we have more than 30% foreign teachers.

What curriculum do you teach? 

We teach British curriculum.

What foreign languages do you teach? 

We teach English and Arabic Languages.

Do you have teaching assistants? 

Yes, in our Early Years Classes, we do have Teaching Assistants

Do you have provisions for children with Special Education Needs? 

Yes, we do have a separate Special Education Needs (SEN) Department in the school. We are growing our SEN Department and we are able to accept more children. 

Do you have after school activities? 

We have many after school activities that the students can choose from. On offer are a range of sporting activities, from badminton to football to athletics, arts and drama clubs.

What sort of trips do you offer to your students? 

Our students are offered the opportunity to enjoy an annual trip. Each trip has a strong curriculum link enabling exciting, ‘hands on’ experiences and typically takes place within Malaysia. This opportunity, a mixture of fun and education experiences, is of great benefit in enriching the children’s understanding of team work and cooperation, whilst building self-confidence and independence. 

What is your sports programme like?

The PE programme in At-Tamimi is extensive and provides opportunities for all children in school, in support of ‘Sports for All’ philosophy. A broad and challenging PE curriculum is complemented by a varied enrichment and a wide ranging after school sports academy programme.  

How do you ensure my children settle in quickly to their new school? 

We have induction sessions prior to their first day to familiarize them with the school. On their first day of school, they have a welcome session with their teacher and settle in to their new class. Our teachers and assistant teachers also know all of our students very well and they will regularly check in with our students to ensure they feel supported and are enjoying their experience.

How do you ensure good behavior and manners? 

We enforce a positive behavior approach in school. Students are rewarded for good behavior that follows the school rules and principles, and we strive to create an atmosphere that fosters enthusiasm for learning and promotes the personal development of each child.
