For more than a decade now, At-Tamimi has been providing quality, educational programs that integrated internationally recognized curriculums with Islamic and Arabic studies, firmly believing this holistic approach to be integral to attaining a mental and spiritual balance.
At-Tamimi first opened its doors in 2007 as a Primary School with 25 students but today hosts nearly 200 Preschool, Primary & Secondary students from 16 countries. We are currently the First and Only International Islamic School in Malaysia to be awarded candidacy status by the International Baccalaureate (IB) governing body to implement the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP). In addition to this internationally recognized programme, At-Tamimi is also seeking for the authorization of IB Diploma Programme (DP) in 2020, further strengthening our commitment to the pursuit of academic excellence.
Our staff collectively represent many years of teaching experience from a variety of ethnicities, speaking a multitude of language. In line with International Baccalaureate (IB), all our staff members, received continuous professional development empowering to deliver 21st Century curriculums utilizing educational standards of best practice.
At-Tamimi provides students with an extensive educational experience that incorporates sports, the arts, languages and extra-curricular activities.

Alhamdulillah, in 2017, At-Tamimi marked a new chapter in our 11 years of operations by being appointed as an International Baccalaureate (IB) Candidate School for the Middle Years & Diploma Programmes. We, the management of At-Tamimi are truly honored to be First Islamic IB Candidate School in Malaysia.
I would like to thank our Principal and IB Coordinators for their endless dedication and commitment, for without their hard work and perseverance, At-Tamimi would not have been able to obtain the IB Candidacy.
We are also proud to see that our students have been able to cope with the transition to the IB Framework.
Lastly, my heartfelt gratitude to our parents, teachers and staff for their overwhelming support.

At At-Tamimi International School, positive energy in the corridors develops into a sense of wonder and discovery in the classrooms and internationally minded students prepare themselves to meet the needs of a rich curriculum based on international standards with benchmarks tailored to meet the global needs of our international student population. At-Tamimi is excited to offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) once we obtain authorization. We are currently a candidate school for IBDP. This programme is an academically challenging, two-year per-university programme for students ages 16-18. What is it about the DP that makes this lucrative programme a leg above other pre university curriculum? Aside from the fact that it is recognized in 75 countries at over 2000 universities worldwide, the DPP has been meticulously designed to address student’s intellectual, social, emotional and physical well-being. At-Tamimi recognizes that educational standards are changing daily and as such, so are the qualifications sort out in potential university candidates. Our programme offers an excellent way to develop our students for the requirements and acceptation of post-secondary education. Along with high academic students, the DP also asks students to express and develop their Islamic character by being open-minded, socially responsible, courageous and truly critical thinkers.
Lending towards the development of such skills, DP students will fulfill the requirements of the Creativity, Activity and Services (CAS) component of their programme. Successful completion of the subject area is desirable in pre-university students as it demonstrate well-rounded characteristics of DP students as they carry out work and activities in their communities. To demonstrate the academic rigor of the DP, students will also complete a Theory of Knowledge (ToK) course as well as compose a 4000 word Extended Essay based on independent skill.
The pillars on which our programme stands are routed in achieving Islamic excellence in character and conduct. At-Tamimi is dedicated to providing the vehicle to give our students the high standards of readiness necessary for university entrance qualification through the DP. Our unwavering commitment to our DP students gives them the opportunity to complete a curriculum that fits their interests and skills and is geared towards their higher education goals. Through this programme, we aim to develop Islamically steadfast and internationally minded students who contribute positively to their communities and world at large.

Welcome to the At-Tamimi International School!
Sending our kids off to school in their early years can be a time of both excitement and anxiety. There is an extensive list of all the things we hope to see develop in our children as they form their personalities, acquire mannerisms and habits, and solidify their core character.
