HISTORY
The At-Tamimi International School is a unique concept that provides a holistic curriculum for the comprehensive development of a child. At-Tamimi’s unique curriculum is unlike other schools in that it is activity based and involves experiential learning. Under a license from the Ministry of Education (MOE) and a license from Jabatan Agama Islam Selangor (JAIS), At-Tamimi opened its doors in January of 2007, with a goal and vision of providing quality education, while instilling students with correct Islamic teachings, morals, and etiquettes. At its inception, At-Tamimi began with a three-shop lot, two preschool classes, four primary classes, twenty-five students, and ten instructors.
In 2013, At-Tamimi received approval from the MOE to open its doors to secondary students, with a committed mission to all students to:
â—† provide quality, educational programs that integrate internationally recognized curriculums with Islamic and Arabic studies.
â—† promote excellent personal manners, high moral values, and strong leadership skills that align with teachings in the Qur’an and Sunnah.
â—† prepare students for becoming good citizens and contributing members of society and the global world at large.
â—† empower students to seek and succeed in post-secondary education and beyond, by developing inquisitive, analytical minds through contextual teaching and learning.
â—† instill tolerance by embracing ethnic and cultural differences and understanding in line with Islamic principles of respect and peace.
With its reputation for excellence and the need to expand, in March 2019, At-Tamimi moved to its current facility in SS-15, Subang Jaya to better accommodate our growing number of students.
At-Tamimi firmly believes all students have a right to education – Islamic and otherwise. As such, in 2013, At-Tamimi also began sponsoring orphan students by providing them with the full educational benefits afforded to other students at the school. Our non-discrimination policy has not only welcomed students with learning challenges but made special accommodations to aid them in their academic pursuits.
Since commencement, At-Tamimi has now grown to host nearly 200 students, as well as balanced mix of both local and international talent to deliver our content. With recent expansion to our current facility, At-Tamimi now houses a pre-school, two kindergarten levels, and grade one through eleven. By maintaining a much lower aspect ratio of teachers to students than other schools, At-Tamimi is able to give more focused time to students, ensuring comprehensive learning.
The IGCSE years set a strong foundation for any students hoping to maximise their academic achievements, whilst taking their first step towards choosing a potential career.

At AT-TAMIMI, there is a clear focus on academic excellence, but we also harness the individual's ability to learn outside the traditional classroom environment. We constantly look for the latest classroom innovations to enhance students' learning.

There are a number of important factors to consider before finalising the IGCSE options. If you already have a plan for what career you would like to do, then it is advisable to select subjects that support that career choice.

Try and select options that are aligned to your natural abilities. If you are very strong in one subject and weaker in another, it is best to select the one which you think you will fare better in.
